Why use a licensed tradie for your oven?
Ovens draw a lot of power and generate a lot of heat. Many need a dedicated circuit, correct cabling and clearances around cabinetry to stay safe and meet manufacturer requirements. Gas ovens also need correct gas connections, ventilation and testing.
DIY or unlicensed work can void warranties, cause nuisance tripping, overheating or gas leaks and may not be covered by insurance if something goes wrong.
- Safe, compliant wiring and gas connections
- Dedicated circuits and isolation switches where required
- Correct clearances and ventilation around cabinetry
- Protection for manufacturer warranty and insurance conditions
- Old oven safely disconnected and removed if requested

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an electrician to install an electric oven?
- Yes. Electric ovens are high load appliances that must be hard wired or connected to a suitable outlet on the correct circuit. A licensed electrician is required to make sure the wiring, breaker and isolation switch are safe and compliant.
Can you install an oven I have already bought?
- Yes. As long as the oven meets Australian standards we can install it. We will confirm the power or gas requirements and cut out dimensions before starting so there are no surprises on the day.
What if my new oven is a different size to the old one?
-
We will measure and check clearances when we arrive. Minor adjustments or infills are often possible. If the size difference is significant we will explain the options, which may include cabinet modifications by a cabinetmaker.
Can you remove my old oven?
- Yes. We can safely disconnect and remove the old oven as part of the job and leave the area tidy. Just let us know when you book so we can allow for handling and disposal.
What happens during an oven installation?
- We isolate power and gas to the existing oven, disconnect and remove it if required, check wiring or gas lines and the cabinet opening, then install and secure the new oven. We connect power or gas, test all heating functions and safety features and clean up the work area before we leave.
